TBC Eagles Volleyball begins play on September 7, and new head coach Kirsten Christmas has finalized her first roster with the addition of a young lady named to her high school’s top athletic honor. Charity Braemer brings even more talent, experience, and character to a roster already packed with these three qualities.
Charity Braemer — Titusville, Florida; Bowling Green, Ohio
Charity most recently played varsity volleyball for Bowling Green Christian Academy in her senior year after transferring from Temple Christian School in Titusville, Florida. She spent five years on Temple’s varsity roster. Ms. Cassie Boron was the varsity coach at BGCA, and Ms. Stacy Garrison coached Charity at TCS. Charity is the daughter of Mr. Martin and Mrs. Shari Braemer.
Charity was named Most Valuable Player for three consecutive years, which covers time at both schools. She made the All-Star team for both schools in those same three seasons. She had the most aces as a sophomore and the most kills as a junior. Both times, Charity won Temple’s Female Student Athlete of the Year.
In addition, Charity played basketball at both Bowling Green and Temple.
Charity excelled in the classroom and in student ministry just as well as on the court. She won the principal’s award for academic excellence three separate times, and as a junior, she earned Temple’s pastoral award for Godly influence and high academic achievement.
When asked why she chose Trinity Baptist College, Charity expressed family tradition and the school’s reputation as major factors. “Two of my older siblings attended Trinity,” she said, “and I wanted a School that would not only further my education but further establish my walk with God. I look forward to being back home and making new friends. I would like to thank Coach K and Dr. Christmas for contacting me and enabling me to have this amazing opportunity of attending Trinity!”
After college, Charity plans to become a high school history teacher. Her favorite verse is Psalms 91:11, which says, “For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.”
The Eagles proudly welcome Charity Braemer back to Florida and into the TBC family.
