TBC Eagles Women’s Basketball is rebuilding, and Coach Judy Allen has gone into Gator Country to snag a double-digit scorer from one of Central Florida’s top programs. Gena Ingram averaged double digits in scoring and rebounding, and she looks to do even more in the NCCAA South Region.
Gena Ingram — Gainesville, FL
Gena is a graduate of Countryside Christian School, where she played JV basketball for two years in Grades 6 and 7 and varsity basketball from Grades 8-12 under head coach Wayne Thomas. Gena is the daughter of Kim and Mike Spivey and Jay and Heather Ingram.
Gena received FCAL All-Conference honors in five consecutive years. She was also Countryside’s MVP in 2018, an honor she earned by averaging 10 points, 12.8 rebounds, and 4 blocks per game.
In addition, Gena played varsity softball for seven years (Grades 6-12), JV volleyball for five years, and varsity volleyball for two.
Gena also excelled in the classroom. She was Countryside’s 2018 valedictorian after she served as student government secretary in both her junior and senior years.
Gena chose Trinity “due to the friendly environment along with the welcoming attitudes of the staff.” She continued: “I also really enjoy the short commute back home to my family. I look forward to furthering my education while surrounding myself with like-minded Christians.”
Her favorite verse is Psalm 5:3, which says, “My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.”
Please welcome Gena Ingram to the TBC family.
