Nia Nicole Rocourt and Kazeira Odoms each connected for a goal as Trinity Baptist College Women’s Soccer traveled south on Tuesday to face NAIA Florida College. Despite the two scores, though, it was Florida College who came out on top by a final tally of 7-2.
Rocourt scored on an unassisted goal in Minute 62, and Odoms connected unassisted less than three minutes later. The goals broke a string of five straight from the Falcons, who added two more late in the game. Odoms was 1 for 2 in shot attempts, and Rocourt hit her only attempt.
Arisa Robles saved three shots on goal as she played the entire 90:00.
For the FC Falcons, Kiara Romero and Mashelle Rodriguez each scored twice, and three teammates also connected. FC had 17 total shots, 10 on goal.
The Eagles will next play at Toccoa Falls College in a rematch of last weekend’s South Region contest that saw Trinity win 2-0. The game is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. EDT on Saturday, September 29. Three home games will follow, featuring NCCAA Division 1 Warner University on October 4, NAIA Webber International University on October 12, and South Region opponent Bob Jones University on October 19.
